I have mixed feelings about these guards. On the plus side, they appear to be well made and seem like they would hold up to some abuse. Of course, the price is right, too.

My son has an 07 TTR125 with the stock 7/8" steel handlebars. I bought these because of the great price and all the good reviews.

I received them and was immediately surprised. Each of them was white, but a slightly different color of white. It seemed odd to me that the color didn't match.

On closer inspection, I noticed the shape didn't match either. It appears from the picture that's how they're supposed to be, something I didn't notice before ordering. I figured, given the great price, I'd just live with it. My son probably wouldn't notice that they didn't match (color or shape) anyhow.

They came with no instructions, but I'm not a mechanical idiot and I've installed brush guards on another motorcycle, so I figured I should be able to successfully install them. It does seem like it wouldn't be too hard to come up with some decent instructions, even if they were only photocopies of pictures.

I started with the right/gas side. Dimensionally, it seemed to fit. However, no matter how tight I made the bolt, I could not get the handlebar insert to tighten enough to make it anything but flaccid. I tried it with and without the little vinyl shim sleeve provided, I even replaced the wedge nut that causes the insert to expand with a slightly larger nut. Nothing would work.

Over an hour later, I ended up with the end cut off the handlebar grip, no brush guards installed, a lot of frustration, and having to return the product. Disappointing at best!

Speaking of the return, it was no problem to get it approved by Amazon.

I am a newbie trying to make my Suzuki DR350SE dirt worthy. Researched and bought this TMS White Universal hand guard thought it was a good deal. When it first arrived I tried installing it onto the stock steel bar and faced the first problem. The steel bar has a plug at the end, so I either have to drill through the bar or .. change the bar. I thought this was a good chance to pickup a Renthal bar. Now once I had the Renthal bar I found that the angle/bend is all wrong plus that the Renthal bar also has some kind of plug. I used an angle grinder and cut down the long bolt at the end and the slotted sleeve for the bar end insert. But I still could not install the inboard mounting bracket. So I went without the hand guard on my first 3 dirt bike ride.
I was gentle on the first ride, broke clutch lever the 2nd day and then broke the front brake lever the third day. No, it is not the hand guard's fault but..
Looking at even $80 Acerbis has the same type of inboard mounting kit so I should not blame TMS. I broke down and paid $38 on Barkbuster mounting kit which allows extra angle adjustment on the handle bar inboard mount. Now I was able to mount the hand guard.

My final suggestion is, if you are very handy and able to bend the guard to fit your bike then go for it. For me, I wish I spent the extra money buying something with the adjustable mount so that I had it during the rides I went. The money I saved did not compensate for the weeks of agony of fixing broken bike.

The product I ordered came with slightly different hardware than shown here. It had two sizes of the expanding bar-end insert sleeve, the item pictured only shows one - so beware that it may not fit your handlebars properly. If not, search for Tusk bar-end handlebar inserts, I used them to fix another set of handguards I ordered for a different bike. I also had to significantly trim the throttle side plastic to clear the front brake master cylinder - I just used a rotary tool to grind down / melt the plastic shield on that side until there was enough clearance. Lever clearance might also be an issue if your levers (especially clutch) aren't already broken or cut down. But for a universal product I was able to adapt and get them installed. They seem well made, solid, should hold up in a fall.

Installed on 2008 KLR650 with Renthal 666 Handlebars. FIt took some work, had to grind down the inside a little for clutch and brake lever. The Right side went through about 3 falls off road before the plastic end broke off and could not be fixed. You get what you pay for with these guys, that doesnt mean they are bad! they saved my levers probably through 6 falls offroad! but theyre not going to last any farther than that

Total waste of money, do not buy. They looked good on my bike, but a gentle fall when I mistakenly tipped my bike because I didn't have the kick stand out, and one broke in two. What a waste of time and money. I was sceptical of the higher priced acebis versions before, but now I can see that with some products you get what you pay for.

These are overall good, I had to bore out my twist throttle tube just a bit to get the insert in the bars, wasn't a big deal though and they work great, dropped the bike once already with them on, they took the hit and didn't bend at all. Good product overall.

Look nice and fit well. On first outing with them, the bar end hardware failed miserably.

Replaced that with a better setup when I got home and should be good from now on. Not as stout as more expensive options but pretty good for the money.
