White Mountain Puzzles Friends in Autumn

My husband and I have completed two puzzles from White Mountain and I must say, they both were excellent quality. The pieces fit together beautifully and there was never a case of "hmm, does this one actually go here, or not?" like some puzzles where the fits can be problemmatic. Very good cuts on these puzzles.

This particular puzzle was one we slowly completed between Halloween and Thanksgiving, working on it a little at a time. Very nice for getting into the holiday/seasonal spirit. Highly recommend this puzzle and all others from White Mountain.

This jigsaw puzzle is my first White Mountain puzzle, and it is the best jigsaw puzzle I have ever seen! My boyfriend and I put it together during the first night after we received the puzzle. It has vivid color and fine details. The pieces lock together beautifully and you can even lift the whole finished puzzle up without dropping a single piece! The only draw back seems to be that the puzzle came in with one missing piece. But don't worry, White Mountain has great customer service. We called them and explained the situation, and they mailed us a new puzzle! My boyfriend and I decided to buy only White Mountain jigsaw puzzles from now on.

This puzzle was the very first White Mountain puzzle my husband and I put together and was so impressed by the quality if it we have searched and bought others. We usually hunt for the illustration done by a Fred Swann. We hated to take it apart it was so pretty when finished. The time spent on it was fun and since our first purchase we have enjoyed this past time together very much. We both find it difficult to get out and about in the winter and look for ways to entertain ourselves on snowy cold winter days in Maine. Between reading and puzzles we find ourselves contented.

Puzzle is much prettier than it shows on the box. Extremely fun to put together. Is a bit challenging because of the number of pieces but not too difficult to do. The quality of the puzzle pieces could have been better, seem to be very thin and thus not stay together really well,but overall a great puzzle.

Couldn't be more happy with this puzzle. Upon opening my lady and I were a bit overwhelmed. We do classify ourselves as avid puzzlers, and immediately saw the difficutly. As soon as the first pieces began to come together we couldn't stop. Took us about 6 hours to complete, 2 hours just to complete the sky portion. I would highly recommed this puzzle.

This is a well-made puzzle with vibrant colors and a beautiful Fall-themed picture. It was fun and challenging to put together. All pieces were present.

It's my understanding that White Mountain makes puzzle pieces in two different sizes and types and there is nothing on the box to tell you which you are getting. This particular puzzle has the large very odd-shaped pieces which are not interlocking and most pieces do not have an exact fit for adjoining another piece. Therefore you mostly have to go by color rather than shape when assembling the puzzle.
This was very different from what my husband and I are used to. We had just completed four Buffalo Games puzzles which we enjoyed immensely and they're beautiful when finished but more challenging. It did seem a little easier to assemble this White Mountain puzzle but these odd sized pieces have their drawbacks. When you assemble two or more pieces outside the puzzle, you cannot pick them up and place them within the puzzle without their falling apart. You then have to join the pieces a second time. However, a day after we completed the puzzle we realized we had immensely enjoyed assembling it, mostly because of the different shapes of the pieces.

Friends in Autumn is a beautiful 1000 piece puzzle, measuring 24" x 30".

This puzzle beautifully depicts the painting "Friends in Autumn" by Fred Swan. The setting is a country home and barn nestled in the valley at the peak of fall.

This is about the 10th puzzle that I have ordered for my husband who is retired. He loves assembling them as it helps to pass the time.
