Let's be very clear about this. This gentleman is telling black people what white people say about them behind closed doors. You might say it's racist, others might call it informative. Very likely, it's a little of both. He's saying what he's overheard and experienced during his life, and - yes - the generalizations that people invariably make about race etc. The fact is that these negative stereotypes exist. What is the response? Anger, violence and cursing unfortunately will confirm the stereotypes. But the knowledge of these opinions could get people to think twice about their actions. I know many African Americans who have said similar things about their race, and lamented about many of the things he mentions here. Those that buck the stereotypes have a world of opportunity waiting for them. This book could just be that message in a bottle.

The Joke's On You,
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
What everyone so far has completely missed is that this is a joke and the joke is on the racist."Chapter 1: I made the front large and the sentences short for those with a short attention span. I figured pictures would be too much of a distraction from the words." This book is showing up the racist as stupid and neanderthal in his thinking. Chris John Yingling is making some pretty astute money from the dumbest on the planet and at just under $1000 a copy he deserves the 5 stars for sheer comedy and con. Who knew the racist was so easily duped and so incredibly stupid??? Yingling knows it, I know it... what about you?

Simple but honest,

This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
I'm sure it won't break any records, and I doubt the stats presented have many figures to back them up, but it does inspire thought. This book is a compilation of observations that begs to be answered intelligently, though I doubt it ever will be. It might be a little crude and rough around the edges, but it is honest, and worth a read.

The truth, even though most won't want to here it...,
By
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
Heard about this on the Howard Stern show and just had to check it out. C'mon people, most of this stuff is the truth even if it's not PC to say so. He has observed the same thing as the rest of the country but has the balls to say it out loud. Terry had some really good points when he called in during the Stern interview from a "Real world" prospective. I may not agree 100% with everything in the book but there is A LOT of truth to it and you know it! It's really ashame that this world has come to such a Tolerant state and nothing can be said negative about any person, race or group even if it's the truth. I totally agree that a person recieving welfare no matter what race should have to pass a drug test....the person that paid the taxes to supply that check had to pass one to pay it! Does that seem right? Lots of this kind of stuff going on that isn't even race related in this country.

The Next Barack H. Obama?,
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
In case you live under a rock and haven't seen the bestseller list lately, or you missed the Oprah special, this is probably already the best literary work of the new decade if not the millennium. Coming from out of nowhere "the little book that could" has gripped readers everywhere and ushered in a new era of racial understanding, exciting children and adults alike. Usually it takes me at least a day to read a book but the clarity of ideas allowed me to finish this little zinger in under twenty minutes; Mr. Yingling has a gift for distilling very complicated issues into statements that are understandable to even the most retarded of morons. Such trenchant and pointed observations as 'Negroes should not be aloud [sic] to "assemble" because it's never peaceful' and 'Negroes can find a way to ruin everything that is organized' show Mr. Yingling has made careful study of almost all televised sources of information available. Skip this one and risk losing out on the ideas that will most likely shape our national discourse for the foreseeable future...

Instant Classic,
By
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
This is a great read, a great new authors breakthrough. Yingling states the facts and lays out the scientific evidence that would change black america were it to sit down and give this book a chance. I say "instant classic," because rarely do I sit down, pick up a book, and forget the time because the book is so gripping. Only a few books have done this to me, To Kill a Mockingbird, Grapes of Wrath, A Confederacy of Dunces, and now comes From a White to a Negro in 2010. Rarely does a novelist this new to the scene walk right in and deserve the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction, but Yingling has done that. A spectacular achievement in literature.

How about a book teaching white trash how to behave?,
By Opinionated New Yawker (NYC, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
Just wondering if anyone wrote a book entitled "From white to white trash?" I've met more white losers than black ones. Any advice for how they can inject facts into their heads? Too bad meth doesn't enhance brain function.

Hate Massage!,
By
This review is from: From a White to a Negro in 2010 (Paperback)
If you want to support the radical hatred of the KKK, please buy this book. The generalizations in the book are not falsehoods, but they are ridiculous generalizations. If you like the book, it's because you have irrational, racial hatred and you like it massaged and groomed and excused. A book cannot excuse you, even if you find that free speech excuses the book, that doesn't mean it's OK. This book will give you permission to hate if that's what you want. It's still a completely unscholarly effort to make a splash which is why the author went to Howard Stern for publicity. He won't get on ANYWHERE else. Yes, Yingling appears gutsy and controversial, but he is also wrong factually, and ethically.
Here are the tag suggestions from Amazon viewers: baba booey, ignorant, authors still living with mom, vapid, f jackie, shallow, horse, literary masterpiece, book recommendations I think we should add a few to that list, like "KKK hate rant."

Racist and the racists who love him,
By Roger P "Roger" (New York) - See all my reviews

I heard the interview on Stern as well. This book is poorly written by someone with limited intelligence. His supporters are clearly racist themselves.
