When Wilbur Bone inherits his friend Michaels dive boat, he knows his quality of life will definitely improvethat is, if he can survive the treacherous and deep waters of Lake Ontario.
After the monetary assets are divided among Michaels kids, Wilbur learns that he has just inherited Michaels personal belongings, including his boat, the Gold Hunter. Apprehensive at first, Wilbur soon finds himself enjoying the sense of relaxation and renewed energy that accompanies diving. He starts receiving requests to charter scuba outings, to which he readily agrees. After a chain of events plunges Wilbur into the petrifying depths of the lake, his peaceful life is shattered as violence and greed invade his quiet life.
