Something about this tune really "struck a chord" with me. Was it the delicate harmonies? The bouncy sleigh-ride rhythm coupled with the happy melody wafting upon the winter wind? I'm not sure, but Enya's voice and this tune have made this a song I can't stop listening to.The lyrics are as descriptive and poetic as any have been written. Comparisons of prominent seasonal colors to sights, sounds, and traditions of the holiday scene guide you through this winter narrative of your favorite Christmas memory. As the song lifts you through its winter enchantment, it gently sets you down as it completes its flight with the memory of church bells singing the close of the Christmas service. Did I like it? Yes I did. The only downside to this song is my paying for it twice as I will be purchasing the entire album. Enjoy! |
