5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Fasion with George
I enjoyed this new song[s] with great hopes that George will continue making great new material for us ''his fans''. He has more talent than is allowed to be shown due to the media making him out to be a has been which will never be true, Otherwise lets cast Madonna into that light as well. 1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible
Now, I realize everyone is happy to see that George is still recording and has recovered from his drug addictions.
But this is a very poor effort. White Christmas has a very dated 80's synth sound. All he did was take the original song and put a basic beat over it. I don't see the creativity.
The other songs are equally dated, not to mention George's voice is...

I enjoyed this new song[s] with great hopes that George will continue making great new material for us ''his fans''. He has more talent than is allowed to be shown due to the media making him out to be a has been which will never be true, Otherwise lets cast Madonna into that light as well. This is a very upbeat happy song and his 2nd attempt at a Christmas vocal for which I'm grateful cause I think he should have released a christmas cd several years ago-he has talent to make it fun and flashy in his own style yet keeping it traditional like this new song. I was so happy to see George make an attempt at a christmas song for us who love him and want to see his career continue with new and positive things for 2010. I bought the download with excitment in my heart, But would have also loved to buy it on cd as well...well maybe on a new greatest hits one day. I don't regret buying this for 1 moment and can't wait for more from the Wonderful Boy George.

5.0 out of 5 stars Merry Christmas!, December 16, 2009
This review is from: White Xmas (MP3 Download)
All the great ingredients for a Christmas Classic: Fun, festive, joyful, and excellently performed by an icon and a legend. Slightly reminiscent of George's UK #1 hit "Everything I Own", this reggae-infused arrangement updates this song for anyone who may be sick of the sappy, orchestral carols that seem to dominate the planet this time of year.

Even better are the non-seasonal offerings as the bonus tracks. "More Girls Just Like You" has a 60's pop-rock vibe to it but is entirely current at the same time, and "Lousy Substitute" is the kind of sing-along fun George has always done so well.

I noticed this EP was #5 in the pop-rock charts for Amazon downloads. It's a well deserved placement, and hope this will be just the first of many successful releases from the re-energized Boy George.

This is nothing compared to his past stuff like Generations of Love or IL Adore.
It just seems to me George doesn't put much effort into his music anymore. He's too busy djing and designing fashions. He just thinks because he's an icon people will buy whatever he does and he doesn't have to work that hard.
