Here is how it works:
- You place your order.
- They ship you the ingredients. You mix ingredients (read instructions TWICE before starting).
- When mixing the blue and white putty, I found that mashing and squishing it in your (sanitized) hands
was most effective. Just like play-do from when you were a kid.
- Practice biting into the trays before using the putty so you get a feel for your teeth placement.
- Once the putty is in the trays, DO NOT roll. Straight up or down only. Hold your mouth open and still for the instructed time. For the first few minutes, you probably should delicately hold the tray in
place.
- As the putty dries, you will feel a slight pressure on your teeth. Actual pressure, *not* pain, you can just tell that the putty is hardening.
- Once the instructed time has passed, I suggest lifting your lip and tapping the putty to ensure it has
hardened thoroughly. It should feel like hard plastic when complete.
- Carefully remove the mold from your teeth. You label your molds with your name and email address (they
provide everything you need to do so).
- You bag up your teeth molds and send them back (they include packing and return postage).
- You wait. One week or two. (Two for me.) During this time, your trays are created with your molds.
- They send back your professional trays custom-made for your own chompers!
- Your work isn't done yet! The molds reach up over your gum line. If you plan on whitening your teeth
with your trays, this is NOT a good thing. Trust me. Whitening gel is hell-fire for your gums. So:
- Take a pair of GOOD scissors, and start cutting away the excess. You will NOT get it perfect. It's
better to have a little more tray than a little less. Take your time! One hapless snip could ruin all
your work and patience. I suggest placing them on your teeth every so often in front of a mirror to
carefully monitor your progress. Now that you've gotten rid of most of the excess... You're done!
Now the actual review:
I LOVE THESE! I know my suggestions above may seem overwhelming, but once you get the ingredients and instructions, you'll see how simple it is. I threw out suggestions from my experience. The final trays come with two whitening gels, but I strongly suggest you buy "Re-mineralizing Gels." The ingredients in teeth whitening products are hard on your teeth. You need to take care of your teeth, so buy that gel.
As for the trays, they fit perfectly. They're very comfortable, and I like that they are clear so I can actually see the gel I use to whiten.
Finally, and most importantly: ***Customer service is WONDERFUL*** I can't tell you what a relief it is for a company to respect their paying customers. I sent two emails and both were responded to promptly, courteously, and full of *relevant* information.
Thank you Touch of White for a great product and business.
