These work fine, no need for machining brass, tolerances are fine for woodworking, this is not for exact metal machining[ buy setup steel blocks for that] , long enough if you have the correct insert in the table plate or the proper base plate on the router. All the Woodworker I know never have had an issue either. Whiteside is known for the best products, made in the USA as well.

I bought these because they were longer than the set I already have. The extra length makes them easier to use because they span the base plate opening of the router.

Great product that is very useful in setting up your router bits on your router table as well as setting blade height on the table saw.

The shipping and handling was the swiftest and most efficient of all the vendors that I have used through Amazon.com

They are well finished (rounded corners) and as another poster said - slightly off size (by 1 to 2 thousdands of an inch). For what I do, that won't matter in the slightest. These are for woodworkers generally and not machinists. If you need machinist accuracy you can get gage blocks (and pay substantially more). These are nicely made, accurate enough, and made in the USA. Each is stamped with its size and I'm a happy camper.

Very prompt delivery. Not much risk of DOA. These blocks are very nice and the value is very good. It makes work in the shop a little easier.

These are such a small item yet in the month or so that I've had them I really enjoy them.

I do hobby level woodworking and use them for setting the depth of cut on my router and table saw when cutting one of the sizes I have a set-up block for. In fact, I try to always cut to one of the sizes so that I can use the set up blocks.

If I had my way, the only thing I'd change is that they were all the same width so they'd stack easier, but then have the indicated thickness.

The way I use them is to lay the thickness I want next to the bit or blade, lay another block on top of that one so that it extends over the bit or blade, and then raise the bit or blade until it just kisses the block on top. The cuts are accurate and repeatable.

I am considering picking up a second set so that I have more combinations and/or can have a set by my different tools.

These make setup a breeze and consistent. The brass is real easy on any bits/blades during setup and won't dull or chip them in case of accidental contact. Very accurate!!

These bars are excellent for setting tablesaw blade and router bit heights and for setting the distsnce for a router fence from the bit.

These should be a bit longer to span the opening in the router table plate. Also, they are not machined to the exact thickness. But they do the job.
