Having a library full of hunting books, I found one that will take the top spot in my "re-read" category. Chris Eberhart's portrayal of his 2005 Midwest Adventure chasing trophy whitetails is a great and very informative read. It was a real treat to read about a common hunter having uncommon success with the awesome whitetail deer.
So often nowadays, we get the feeling that unless we have food plots, managed land, trail cameras, etc. there is no possible way we can be consistently successful on mature whitetail deer. Chris shatters this myth with his latest book. Roaming the Midwest for 3 months, sleeping in his beat up van, eating cold soup, competing with myriads of other hunters, and putting in an otherworldly amount of time and effort into his dreams. Whitetail Access might as well be a blueprint for every blue-collar bowhunter who has dreamed of stepping out of their comfort zone and performing do-it-yourself whitetail hunts. A read I will definitely recommend to all of my hunting friends.
