Another great book from Alsheimer,

This is a fantastic read if you are looking for practical and advanced info from one source. This book covers just about everything the average deer hunter (and advanced) would want or need to know. Charles' knowledge of the whitetail is truly astounding. Get this book and take a look at Whitetail: Behavior through the seasons. Behavior has some of the best photography I have ever seen on the magnificent whitetail.

I found this book pretty average. I have several books on Whitetail hunting this one was about mid pack. Nothing that isn't in almost any other Whitetail book.

Another Hit For Alsheimer,

Charlie Alshemer just keeps on cranking out great books and this one is no exception. I thought I owned all of his books but somehow I missed this one. What a pleasant surprise when I found it. I was not dissapointed when I read it.It contains page after page of insights on deer behavior and tips on how to hunt them. Every time I read an Alsheimer book I become a better hunter. I have also read books like Steve Chapman's and "Grow "Em Right" by Dougherty and Dougherty. They feature Alsheimer photos and the forewards are written by him and are both terrific books. One is philosophy(Chapman's) the other is on how to create wildlife habitat and food plots(Dougherty&Dougherty). Anything Alsheimer touches is great in my book.
