This CD is what country radio should be playing today. This band apparently learned from the best. There are echoes of Waylon, both Hanks, Johnny, both Georges and everything that was good about country music years ago. With that said, they still manage to be contemporary. If you like Zac Brown and Jamey Johnson, you'll love Whitey Morgan and the 78's. They are the real deal.

Folks, this is the best pure honky tonk CD I have heard in a long time.
If you like Dale Watson, Lucky Tubb, Lucky Tomblin, Johnny Bush, you can't go wrong with this one.

This guy is a badass pure and simple. The whole album is great which is hard to find lately it seems. The sound is almost a throwback to the outlaw days of country music - Whitey Morgan nails it! Don't wonder about this one - do yourself a favor and just buy it.

What a great follow up to Honky Tonks and Cheap Motels, this is a five star album from a man showing Nashville where they are going wrong. It delivers in all areas great songs great instrumentation could be a contender for album of the year.Nashville record executives should be made to sit and listen to this over and over because this is how it is DONE a great album from start to finish BUY IT

I've been listening to these guys for years now. Great throwback outlaw, gritty country. The kind of music that makes ya feel something, makes ya remember something, or just makes you feel good. Buick City is one of those songs to crank up in your truck when you're rolling down the road. This band knows how to make great country music!!
