1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and useless
The description of these boxes sounded fine, but once they arrived, and I saw that these "boxes" are actually thin sheets of cheap plastic that are folded into a "box-like" object, I was very disappointed.

The plastic is so thin and cheap that they perpetually fly open, even when empty. Once you place the lightest papers or office items in them, they bulge and the flaps come open.

Eventually, I just threw them away since I could not find a single use for which they could be employed.

1.0 out of 5 stars They don't make them any flimsier than these, December 20, 2010
This review is from: Magazine Files
Files are delivered flat and are assembled by folding the plastic. There is no reinforcement along the seams or along the base, therefore you can immediately see that they do not hold their shape at all and require being stuffed full of sturdy magazines in order to remain upright. I am not sure what these magazine holders are intended to do... but you can't hold magazines in them and expect them to stay upright unless the following conditions are met:

a) they are completely full of very sturdy and squared off magazines, and/or...

b) they are stabilized by holders, books or what have you on either side

For my purpose, which is to actually hold magazines and expect the file to remain upright without supports, they are utterly inadequate.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for the Price, May 29, 2007
Useful and colorful for storage. Handle stacking pretty well, but the plastic won't last forever. Temporary storage for young people on a budget.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plastic Organizer Boxes - Set of 5 - Assorted Colors by Whitmor, August 5, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Boxes were easy to assemble - but too small to use for tapes or DVDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, May 12, 2007
These boxes look great and seem quite durable. They're also EASY to fold together. They're colorful, stackable and all that they promise to be. I used them to wrap my son's birthday gift over and over and over. I used additional boxes as I had gotten him a gift certificate and had to continue making the boxes smaller and smaller. The bright colors really added to the presentation. Now the boxes can be used for all kinds of storage! The smallest box is about the size of an adult-shoe-box. The largest box is just a 1/4" shy of being able to fit two reams of copy paper side-by-side (just to give you a real idea of the width).

4.0 out of 5 stars CD cases, December 4, 2007
When they first arrived I thought I had a "pig in the polk" as they appeared flimsy. But I put them together, with some difficulty, and found them to be quite adequate.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok, October 15, 2008

I was expecting something a little more sturdy. If you place these between bookends or on anything with closed ends, its fine. Otherwise anything heavy in the makes the whole row fall down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy and ugly, January 25, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The picture makes the boxes look atrractive and doesn't show the tabs that stick out. The plastic is very thin and cheap-looking. They look like they'd fall apart very easily. I ordered these based on the one review here but I really hate them and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I bought them to save magazines for knitting. The boxes are difficult to put together and fall apart after being used.
