This dvd is a concert that aired on HBO. It was truly a great concert and one of Whitney Houston's finest moments. However, this dvd does NOT do it justice. The footage is from the early 90s and it did not hold up very well. It is unclear and nearly impossible to see at times. The producers of the video could have done a much better job of preserving and presenting the video. It is also much shorter than the original concert. Songs have been completely cut out and Whitney's interaction with the audience has been significantly edited. It seems as though this video was put together so quickly that the folks in charge of its production did not take the time and care necessary to create a quality product.

This DVD has the viewing quality of a VHS recording,as compared to DVD quality.The concert was recorded at Norfolk Naval Air Station for the troops during desert storm/desert shield (Gulf War) in 1991.There is an official DVD recording of this same concert called Whitney Houston LIVE In Concert.
The official concert DVD is crystal clear and is a top quality DVD in every way.The cover of this DVD gave me the impression that this was a new and different concert.Here,Whitney is wearing this red dress with tassels of which she never wears in this recording.That's kinda what misled me into thinking this was a different concert.
I never watch this dvd,but I'd listen to it as a cd.Now the actual live cd is available.
I believe all the other people which gave positive ratings for this dvd
has never viewed the official concert dvd which was released post concert.
Don't waste your money nor your time buying and trying to watch this one as I did.

Im a big whitney fan, and the concert is good, it shows why she's the best. But its amazing that its the 1991 concert in a up to date packaging which is misleading customer's in wasting money on a item that you already might own and showing whitney houston a song for you, which is also the same concert yet again in different packaging and to top it off, the website is offering this product and a song for you live together and save so much for the same concert. it just shows that the public is getting ripped off. Why not release whitney concert dvds that people may not own like live in south africa, live in germany 1999, classic whitney(in the 90's).

This is one the worst dvd's I've ever seen. Whoever recorded this needs to completely upgrade their equipment, this is horrible!! I sure hope Whitney does'nt see it. This is the Concert at Little Creek Naval Base for Troops Returning from Dessert Storm and seen on HBO. Whitney deserves better than this, I would'nt show this to anyone

this is a grrreat performance by Santana w/ his band as well as members of Dave Matthews band !!! the video quality is very "grainy" but viewable & the sound quality is very good thru a good stereo BUT the main thing is a grrreat performance where Carlos plays his PRS yellow Brazilian with alotta fire & finesse plus the band is high energy hot !!! lotsa tunes that are not on his other videos... also, there is an electric guitar/ electric violin jam that is very impressive in this 2 hour concert !!! in this Santana fan's opinion = this DVD is ESSENTIAL & VITAL for any serious Santana afficianado's collection = BUY IT !!!

this was a 5 star concert vocally for whitney but the transfer was very poor and they didn't include the full concert. i now have the full version with better sound so i'm happy!

I purchased this DVD, thinking it was a recent concert by Whitney Houston. What we get is the concert from her "I'm Your Baby Tonight" tour and which was rated one of the worst tours of 1991. I wish they would release her Live in South Africa on DVD. Which aired on HBO back in 1994, that was amazing concert and I believe Whitney looked at her best. I don't recommend this DVD to you, unless your a die hard Whitney Houston fan who must own everything.

I WAS VERY DISAPOINTED WHEN I GOT THIS CONCERT BECAUSE BY LOOKING AT THE DVD COVER PICTURE IN FRONT, IT LOOKS LIKE A RECENT CONCERT BUT IN REALITY IS AN OLD CONCERT THAT SHE DID BACK IN 1991, ABOUT 17 YEARS AGO, SO I THINK THIS COVER IS DECEIVING...BECAUSE I HAVE PURCHASED THIS CONCERT A WHILE AGO AS A FOREIGN DVD MADE IN JAPAN OR CHINA (MUCH BETTER COPY), THE QUALITY OF THIS REPRODUCTION MADE IS BAD!...SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PURCHASING THIS DVD UNTIL SHE COMES OUT WITH A NEW ONE, THEY EVEN PUT ON THE ADVERTISING 2008 TO MAKE BELIEVE IS A NEW ONE AND SHE DON'T EVEN WERE THE DRESS SHE HAS IN THE COVER IN THE CONCERT...DO NOT LET THE PICTURE FULL YOU!!!

Welcome to the compilation of this british pop group of the 80's. From songs like Oh'Lamour, A little respect, Chains of love and their version of Take a chance on me from ABBA, Andy Bell and Vince Clarke have always keep a very poppy style. This is a "must have" video for those erasure fans and for those who love music from the 80's.

This is an unauthorized reproduction of Welcome Home Hero's that aird in the 90's on HBO. There are official releases of this concert on DVD in superior quality and released by HBO and Whitney Houston. Don't Purchase this garbage!!! Its not Authentic.
