5.0 out of 5 stars Learning to PLAY at 64!
My 64 year old husband is a very serious history buff--too serious in that he is not much fun...if fact, I think he was born an adult and never played as a child until this past Christmas when I gifted our family with Who Am I. My husband loved it because he knew almost all of the answers and had fun FINALLY using the knowledge he had acquired over a lifetime of reading...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but tough trivia game
Who Am I is a game about the famous, real and fictional, past and present. You're given five clues about a famous person, one at a time. The first clue is worth 25 points, each clue after goes down by five points, till the final clue which is worth 5 points. When you think you know the famous person's identity, you place your game piece on the appropriate point square and...

My husband loved it because he knew almost all of the answers and had fun FINALLY using the knowledge he had acquired over a lifetime of reading and watching A&E's Biography. He is PLAYING at 64. The whole family enjoys the game and we look forward to more editions. Thanks for making all of us smile.

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just a game - it's an education as well., October 23, 2001

On the A & E Channel everyday there is a show called Biography and now we even have a Biography channel so it's only natural that a game that follows that idea is now available and leave it to Endless Games to be the creator.

Trying to get 300 points is the objective, where 1 card is 1 round. However after playing several time I found that the information was both great and educational. You have over 450 biographies and over 450 bonus characters to work with so you should be playing for some time.

You could not ask for easier to follow directions and if you are traveling you can play without the game board. Also this game fits well into the family arena as well as a get together with friends and makes a great gift for all ages and all occasions.

This is to the "A" student who disliked the game: Based on the appalling number of misspelled words and grammatical errors in your review, I would advise that you check the credentials of the educational institution that deemed you an "A" student. I can see why you had trouble with this game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun but tough trivia game, October 26, 2009

Who Am I is a game about the famous, real and fictional, past and present. You're given five clues about a famous person, one at a time. The first clue is worth 25 points, each clue after goes down by five points, till the final clue which is worth 5 points. When you think you know the famous person's identity, you place your game piece on the appropriate point square and write your answer down. The board has all five point squares on it, big enough for several pieces to occupy them. Once you place your piece on the board, you CANNOT move it to another space or take it off the board, so be sure you know the answer when you place it. After the final clue is read, the person's identity is revealed. If you wrote down the correct person, you score the points in the box your piece is in. If not, you score zero, which of course isn't fun.

There's a shot at redemption for those who didn't get the right person. After each person round, there's a quickie true/false round about a particular person, not the person you just tried to guess. Correct answers in this round are worth five points each. Everyone plays in the true/false round, whether you guessed the correct person or not.

First person to get to 200 points wins the game, there's a scoresheet pad included for someone to keep track of all the scores. Pencils and pads are provided for players to write down their answers. I forgot how many game pieces come with this, six or eight is the norm. This is a very challenging game on the Trivial Pursuit level. If that's your cup of tea, or if you know a lot about famous people, you'll probably like this game.

My husband and I are both trivia buffs, and we were looking for something a little different from "Trivia Pursuit". We're both really good at history and famous people so we decided to give "Who Am I?" a try. The game is pretty simple. You are given clues to a person's identity. If you guess the person after the first clue, you get the highest number of points. The longer it takes you - the fewer points you earn. If after the last clue, you don't guess the correct person, then there are no points earned. To be honest the game isn't overly exciting, but if you're a trivia buff and enjoy beating the pants off your spouse like I do, then this game might be fun for you. On another note, my husband and I sometimes use the easier questions for trivia nights with our kids.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful in Constructing a More Rational Persona, October 27, 2001
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Who Am I? - The Biography Game (Board Game)
Who Am I is a question I have struggled with my entire life. I have spent a small fortune on psychiatrists, psychotherapists, past-life regression, channeled history, Miss Cleo, and fourteen different gypsy fortune tellers, including Princess Pawawbee from the Bacon Delta in Georgia, just to find out WHO AM I. And to no avail - I was still floundering with that eternal question, desperate and starved for the answer so I could attain a fulfilling life as a knowing and whole human being. Then I received this game as a birthday present last June, and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. No longer do I yearn for identity - I simply pull out a card each day and voila! I know WHO I AM. Yesterday I was General Custer, which lent an air of "devil may care" and "que sera sera" to what would have been another tedious day as a curler inspector at the Clairol Hot Roller Factory. Last week I was lucky to have drawn Clara Barton, which actually was a mixed blessing. I was somewhat embarrassed to be riding the subway in a long dress, but proud to have assisted in an emergency birth, an event I probably wouldn't even have been allowed to witness as a normal male curler inspector. Every day is a surprise - I no longer wonder WHO AM I - I just read the card and it tells me all I need to know.

I highly recommend this therapeutic game to other souls seeking validation, and also to aspiring actors and vacuum cleaner sales people.

i would not get this game it is horrible. It is boring and makes the game night seem like homework. Some of theese people are people we don't know. I think this game should be changed for either newer people or older people. You should really be serious to by this game. You have to be a B student trying to improove your grade to an A. I am an A student so i don't need to improove my grade.
