This review is from: Who Am I? Who Are You? Why We Learn and Act Differently (VHS Tape)
I am a big brain type fan and supporter. What I like in particular about this DVD is it goes more into what each of the 16 brain types are like beyond sports, although sports clips are included. I like sports, and Jonathan Niednagel is most known for being the sports "brain doctor," but the greatest thing about brain types lies in its ability to affect every segment of society, not just sports performance. As is pointed out in several ways on this DVD, Niednagel and his supporters have found some scientific evidence, and continue to seek additional validation, of brain types beyond the realm of the Myers-Briggs theory in which it is based. People like Vic Braden, who leads much of the commentary on this DVD, and other supporters of brain types look for genetic bases identifying each of the 16 types as inborn, unchanging types that also have specific motor skill proficiencies (of course, we can adapt to and develop lesser-preferred tendencies, but we will prefer certain modes over others on a consistent basis according to the brain type system).

In this DVD, the greater share of material pertains to people from each brain type giving brief interviews that show what a certain type's mannerisms, speaking style, etc. tend to be like. There are also clips indicating the motor skill tendencies of the various types, and lots of testimonials. I think they may have tried a bit too hard to convince through the use of testimonials, but nonetheless, this DVD really helps a person understand the brain type system better. Any person who is interested in understanding why people act the way they do should find something of interest in this DVD, even if they are skeptical of certain elements of this system.
