Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

PreSchool-Grade 1—"Eeny, meeny, miney, moe!/Who ate all the cookie dough?" a kangaroo asks various animal friends as she searches for the culprit. Each creature denies the theft and joins Kanga in the hunt. Monkey seems the likely suspect until the critters lead Kanga and readers to a lift-up flap that reveals her pouched joey licking a spoon. The stylized gouache illustrations place the characters against white backdrops decorated with abstract patterns that suggest flowers and trees. The animals are large and painted with a light, humorous touch. This book's repetition and rhymes—reminiscent of the question-and-answer rhythm of Bill Martin, Jr.'s Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Holt, 1983)—make it a good choice for beginning readers and for chant-along storytimes.—Marge Loch-Wouters, Menasha Public Library, WI

Review

"The amusing illustrations of popular animals and the jaunty rhythm and rhyme will make this a favorite."—Kirkus

This review is from: Who Ate All the Cookie Dough? (Hardcover)
If you have ever played the game Who Stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar this book seem familiar. It has a little twist on it this time. A mama Kangaroo is searching for the cookie dough she just made. She asks all sorts of animals only to find out her little joey was the culprit!

My little girls love to eat cookie dough so they could relate to the story well!

Yes. It was a cute story to read as a family!

Got this book for the kids Easter baskets instead of candy. This is a hilarious fun book. Both my nearly 2 y/o son and 3.5 y/o daughter love it. My daughter is even starting to recognize words because one phrase is repeated a ton and even the other parts are repeatative, but not annoying to the poor adult who has to read it over and over again. I like it so much that I am buying 2 more copying for babyshower gifts. I only wish it was available as a board book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful colorful and entertaining book for toddlers, March 8, 2011
This review is from: Who Ate All the Cookie Dough? (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my 21 mo old daughter a few days ago and she loves the book so much that she asks me to read it to her any chance she gets. She already knows the whole story by heart and enjoys the part that the animals say " Idon't know .... it wasn't me..." she says these out loud and has a blast. Love the book and highly recommend it.
