5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for a newbee, January 6, 2011

This review is from: Who Ate the Backyard? : Living with Wildlife on Private Land (Paperback)
This book is great if you have just learned your yard is attracting wildlife. This mostly focuses on the Rocky Mountains, but the advice is fairly good. With each of the animals, it tells of things to do to a track the animals and things they usually don't like to keep them (hopefully) out of your yard. Though one of the landscape flowers they say deer won't eat is tulips and they have never failed to eat mine every spring. Oh well. There are also a few short pieces of wildlife encounters by the author, as well as some nice photos. It also encludes some specs for wildlife friendly fencing but will still keep livestock in too. Fun book, and very interesting read.
