This review is from: Who Cloned My Cat?: Fun Adventures in Biotechnology (Hardcover)
Separated into many short text & cartoon filled chapters this book is fun, teaching and convenient readable at once.
Listed chronologically to their publication dates in German newspapers the presented themes are dedicated to give a basic overview about current biotechnological research activities and their origins.
Besides an obvious connection to our daily life issues shows the relevance of this field's scientific progress for everyone.
Due to Prof. Renneberg's coherent style of description even complete "new" readers shouldn't face any understanding problems as well.
To keep it short:
A good catch for those who like to get a general idea about how today's inventions can find a way from science labs to your home tomorrow and beyond.

Prof Arnold Demain (former MIT professor) writes in his review, February 15, 2011
This review is from: Who Cloned My Cat?: Fun Adventures in Biotechnology (Hardcover)
This book by Reinhard Renneberg teaches us that biotechnology can be fun.
Not only can it be entertaining but its message teaches a lot about the discovery of biology and biotechnology.
This fascinating book is filled with wonderful cartoons by the late Manfred Bofinger and a very lively Ming Fai Chow.
If you and your colleagues or students want to experience the humorous side of biotech, and at the same time learn a lot about its history and significance, I strongly suggest that you read this book.
