There is very little written on this DVD on amazon.com, so I thought I'd add some information. First off, I am a Who fan, so my interest in this DVD is because of The Who. I do not envision watching the other, non-Who-related content on this disc very much. All apologies to the fans of the other artists; I mean no ill towards them in this review!
Here's some other tidbits: -the single disc is packaged in a digipak. No booklet is included. -the performances were recorded in March 2007, not fall 2007 according to amazon.com. -the disc includes an interview with Pete Townshend, but it is not a current interview, nor is it about TCT. It is from 1995. (Time Life is responsible for this DVD. They also put together the fantastic documentary "The History of Rock 'n' Roll" from 1995; the interview comes from outtakes from that documentary.) -Tracklist: 1) The Who - The Seeker 2) Noel Gallagher - Don't Look Back In Anger 3) Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller - The Butterfly Collector 4) Kaiser Chiefs - Take My Temperature 5) The Coral - Dreaming Of You 6) The Cure - The Kiss 7) Razorlight and Roger Daltrey - Summertime Blues 8) The View - Face For The Radio 9) Bloc Party - Like Eating Glass 10) A Band Of Bees - Got To Let Go 11) Gruff Rhys - Gwn Mi Wn 12) Judas Priest - Hell Bent For Leather 13) Kasabian - L.S.F. 14) The Who - Baba O'Riley 15) The Who - Tea And Theatre The video is shot in HD, and I have to say it is stunning, even on a non-HD system. Great camera work on this, too.

Great performance by some of the bands in this dvd it was a live performance by different other bands the concert was held in the UK over the summer of 2008 for a charity sponser for "Teend Cancer Trust" for Teens with cancer in the United Kingdom... and The Who starts the who concert out and other bands come like "Band of Bees" "Oasis" Judist Priest" "Bloc Party" ect... and the whole reason I bought this was because of the live performance of The Group the band called: "The Cure" and a banded called: BLOC PARTY it was a great song they choose called "Like Eating Glass" which is in a game cause tony hawks american wasteland for the xbox 360 and the ps2 but other than that, thats the whole reason I bought this product cause of Bloc Party, The Cure Live!!!!
if I had to recommend this to anyone it would be a 25% out of a 100% that you should get this (My Opinion) |
