Who Is He To You by Monique D. Mensah is a story of three very different individuals who will soon realize...that nothing is as it seems. The reader is first introduced to Simone, a beautiful teenaged girl, who attends a prestigious private school. With Simone's looks, she is the envy of many girls. What those girls do not realize is that Simone would gladly hand over her beauty if it meant she could be normal like them. With her beauty there comes a curse.

Jessica may have come from humble beginnings but she now lives a lavish lifestyle. She is married to Ross, a high profile attorney. Jessica's sole purpose in life is to be the "perfect wife." They live in a mansion with a maid. Do not be fooled though, because all that glitters is not gold. Jessica senses a noticeable change in her relationship with Ross and she will do anything to keep her marriage intact.

Ryan is hopelessly in love with her boyfriend, Anthony. She is in her mid-thirties and desperately holds on to the dream of them being married, regardless of Anthony's disrespect and lies. Not sure of how much else she can tolerate, she slowly slips into a deep depression, starts seeing a psychiatrist and begins taking medication. Will she be able to let go before it is too late?

Who Is He To You by Monique D. Mensah is an excellent debut novel. This is a story you would expect to premiere as a Lifetime movie; a story so hauntingly sad and achingly heart wrenching. Ms. Mensah writes with such detail you are sure to feel as if you are reading a diary of sorts because of the rawness and realness of it all. Who Is He To You is one of the best books I have read this year. It is highly recommended for your reading pleasure.

Just take the stars for what they're worth. Reading others' reviews could blow the ending for you, like it did for me. Very good book, despite my errors...

I bought this book on my Kindle knowing in advance by looking at the tagging that it dealt with some (very) disturbing subject matter. I applaud Ms. Mensah's realistic portrayals of all of the characters. It's not a pretty story, but it is a VERY good story.

This book made me mad at myself. I did a lot of self soul searching while reading this book. I too can relate to the character Ryan. I an ceratin that a lot of women can The book made me realize that I am someone special within myself and I don't need a man to validate me.

Thank you, MOnique as I did not know the content of the book, I just liked the title and purchased it. It was a great read with a wow factor towards the end. I actually had to put the book down when the wow factor came into effect and started screaming. My family wondered what was wrong with me.

I recommend this book to all young ladies of the world. It's a real talk book for all to learn from... Men too!

Just finished this book 5/8/11. OMG! Ms. Monique, you truly outdone yourself with this one. This book has been on my Kindle since I bought it Xmas day, but I am mad at myself for taking so long to read it. The storyline, the plot, the end...honey...it was amazing. I wish there was a sequel, but some things are better left the way they are. This was truly a masterpiece.

What a captivating read! I picked it up and couldn't put it down. I read it in one day. So, if you're looking for a story that pulls you in and keeps you there from start to finish, this is the book for you. It always amazes me to see how much an undeserving, lying, untrustworthy partner can affect a good person. They can steal your joy like a thief in the night. No matter who you are, whether male or female, the greatest love of all is to love you. This book reiterates the importance of that. It should never be compromised!

The book is well written. Monique writes like an author who has written hundreds of books. What a great first publishing. She should be proud. I'm looking forward to reading 'inside Rain'.

Without telling everyone the story line, this book was awesome! It was an excellent read !!! I know that this will be in my book collection for a long time.

I had never heard of this author but the description sounded like an interesting read. I found that I could hardly put my kindle down! This is a story that comes together surprisingly in the end. This is a great read.

This book touched on so many subject realities: incest,rape, infidelity,jealously, self hatred and love.

Simone a hauntingly beautiful child, Jessica, the sow's ear turned into a silk purse, and Ryan lost in love, depression and Xanax. Will the intensity of their situations prove to be their undoing?

The way the author brought several seperate stories to you and then tied them up in a tidy bow of clarity, linking the characters together in ways that you didn't see coming was outstanding!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Vivid detail and an equally titillating plot make `Who is He to You' an absolute page turner. Monique D. Mensah's writing is literary awesomeness. The story arouses a multitude of emotions as the lives of three ladies are intimately revealed, ultimately colliding to meet an unexpected end.
