A little difficult at first, May 27, 2000

This review is from: Who Hid It? (Pb) (Discovery Books for Toddlers) (Paperback)
My 19 month old really enjoys this book. He found it very difficult at first and wasn't sure where the objects were hidden in the pictures. It really is helpful that the object they are looking for is pictured on the left, alone, so they understand what they are looking for in the picture on the right. After the first time, though, he finds it rewarding to be able to locate the objects. I personally found some of the objects so well hidden, blended into the picture, that I had to really look myself to find the object. For instance, they have to find a green pencil in a picture of about 10 praying mantis'. Only one has the pencil as his body. Another you have to locate a playing card with hearts on about 10 butterflies. It's a fun book that my child reaches for over and over.
