I've had some suggest to me that Lincoln was killed by a Roman Catholic conspiracy. I had always dismissed it out-of-hand until I read Charles Chiniquy's book *Fifty Years in the Church of Rome*. But even then, I wondered, can we confirm 1) Chiniquy's relationship with LIncoln, 2) Lincoln's acting as Chiniquy's attorney and 3) Chiniquy's allegation that Lincoln was killed by a Roman Catholic conspiracy.

Paul Serup answered each of my questions and more documenting every conclusion he reached. The book not only contains quotes from various sources, but also contains actual photocopies of the original documents, newspapers, sworn statements, hand-written letters etc. Serup is to be commended. His book is an amazing work that seriously considers opposing conclusions helping the reader to pick out the verifiable facts and discard the rest

The author conclusively reveals how Father Charles Chiniquy (theologian, author) warned Abraham Lincoln that there was a Catholic plot afoot to have him assassinated. The two were personal friends and business associates from Illinois. The book is well researched and contains a large appendix with many newspaper articles and legal documents. The book is divided into: 1/3 "Introduction" (Chiniquy, Lincoln); 1/3 Conspirators (Mary and John Surratt, Jesuits); and 1/3 Appendix, which includes a study of Chiniquy's critics.

This book, written by a born again Christian could be considered mildly evangelistic in the fact that it reveals corruption in the Christian (Catholic) church and so can be used to influence religious seekers that God's Word is above man's word.
