THIEF! THIEF!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Who Stole ""The Wizard Of Oz?"" (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition) (School & Library Binding)
I've always known Avi was a fabulous author. Who Stole the Wizard of Oz proved that to me once again. Becky, who is in 6th grade, is accused of stealing 5 rare books from the library. She claims she didn't do it and her twin brother Toby believes her, but how can they prove it? They think that if they can solve a certain kind of puzzle they might be able to catch the thief. With its suspense and creativity you can't dislike this story. A lot of mysteries are good but in my opinion this is one of the best chil- dren's mysteries out there. Once you start reading you can't stop. This book is very cleverly written. Whenever Avi can he throws in puzzles for you to solve or for you to wonder about. You don't need the illustrations to give you a picture of what is going on, but the outstanding drawings give you an even better picture of what is going on. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a fast moving, intriguing mystery. I think many young readers will enjoy this book for generations.

Who Stole the Wizard of Oz?,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Who Stole the Wizard of Oz? (Paperback)
Do you know who stole the Wizard of Oz? This story drives you through mystery and excitement. When Becky is accused of stealing the Wizard of Oz book from the library she is determined to find the real robber. With the help of her twin brother Toby, Becky is driven through man obstacles to find the real culprit.
I believe Avi wrote this book to all kid's and grown up's to always go for their goals and never stop. As Toby said, "What if nobody comes"? "Then we will wait as long as we have too". Proving to always go for your dreams not caring for what another person says. I recommend this book to all mystery lovers. Or to people who want to read a good book that makes you wonder.

THEIF! THEIF!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Who Stole ""The Wizard Of Oz?"" (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition) (School & Library Binding)
THEIF! THEIF! A missing book holds the key to locating a hidden treasure! A remarkable fiction book by Avi tells the story of Becky and her twin bother Toby trying to find it. What happens when the local library accuses Becky for stealing a rare children's book well Becky didn't do it! And she finds herself trying to find out the real thief Securing around the library Becky and Toby crack the case! How did they? You find out! I like Becky the most she's so deterred and wants to figure it out. For example on page 60 " Becky had gotten out a huge pad of paper and felt pen and was trying to put it all together " This also reminded me of a self to self connection that quote reminded me of when I had just got a new quiz book. I was trying to put every thing together. Becky also is brave shes not afraid to try! She's smart too! Putting clues together! Will Toby and Becky just walk in to a tree or will they crack the case? Short Summery

I think Who Stole the Wizard of Oz is a good book because it is a mystery book and I like mysteries. A girl named Becky and her brother Toby are accused of stealing the book The Wizard of Oz. It wasn't supposed to be in the book sale. It was very rare and probably worth about $3,000. Most of the names in the books were donated by Gertrude Tobias. Becky and Toby think that she may have something to do with it, but I can't tell you the ending. Read more and find out who stole the book.

who stole the wizard of oz,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Who Stole the Wizard of Oz? (Paperback)
I give this book five stars because it is a great book.I think it should have five stars because Becky and Toby go to all kinds of places to find out where the books were because Becky was accused of stealing some books. Then finally their last place to go was the library. So when everyone was out of the library at night they snuck in the back and they looked all around until they heard the door being ulocked .... I would recommend this book to fourth graders to sixth graders because it's the right reading level.
