This review is from: Who Do We Think We Are (180 Gram Vinyl Reissue) (Vinyl)
"Who Do You think We Are" has always been one of my favorite Deep Purple Albums. From the opeing "My Woman From Tokoyo" to "Rat Rat Blue" every song is great. I highly recommend this album to anone. I have both the cd and new issues 180 gram vinyl and the vinyl sounds much better than the cd. If you have a vinyl record player I recommend that you buy the vinyl version of Deep Purple's "Who Do You think We Are"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best album with hidden great long songs., December 9, 2011
This review is from: Who Do We Think We Are (180 Gram Vinyl Reissue) (Vinyl)
This album contains long songs that blow away anything I've heard anywhere else. They are cerebral and driven music that was never played on the radio. They are almost a secret in Rock and Roll. If you love rock opera long music like Led Zeplin's Stairway to Heaven you will get here Deep Purples long play songs that never end in their satisfaction. Rat Back Blue & Place in Line I've played for hour after hour. Thank you Deep Purple for making these.

4.0 out of 5 stars into the fire, February 14, 2011
This review is from: WHO DO WE THINK WE ARE LP (Vinyl)
Why do I chose to coment about this album, and not other one from Mk II?
Well, besides being the first LP of Deep Purple that I ever put in my old Philco console record-player (with tubes!), I find WDWTWA the most "mature" product of that formation.
Superlative modulation and control in Gillan's voice. Plus outstanding keyboards by the Hammond Man, as always.
In a general view of Mk II, the uniqueness of Ian Gillan is not the well-know yelling, but the "storytelling mood" in his delivering of the songs.
Mary Long is a hypocrite...
