Tips from a Champion,
By
This review is from: Who Wants to be a Champion? (Hardcover)
There is no doubt that Pat Williams is an American success story and a man who has embodied faith and values in his professional and personal life. That's why this latest book is an interesting read, even if it doesn't break any new ground or offer much in the way of spiritual depth.
Who Wants to Be a Champion is a very thoughtful, organized set of life principles that have formed the basis of Pat William's life--principles that can and should be adopted by every Christian who wants to succeed in this world and be a glory to God. There is no denying Pat's passion and zeal for service to others and to God. However, at times Pat relies on timeless, but well-worn cliques and principles. Its not necessarily a bad thing, but his endless sermonizing may turn off some people. I enjoyed it and was challenged to dig deeper in certain areas of weakness. Overall, I recommend Who Wants to Be a Champion, not as a Bible study book, but as a light, encouraging read from a wise man who has walked the path successfully for many years.
