5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Fun for the whole family!
This is a really fun version of the hit show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". The sound effects are not exactly like the shows, but it does use some of them. Meredith is loads of fun to play with on this game. This is definitely the best game that Millionaire has put out for a while. which slows up the game. One can play, but will have to enter the
minimum two player option and purposely give a wrong answer for

lifelines, but NOT the "switch the question" lifeline. I actually
won the million the first time I played it. Overall, a decent
game. I give it a 6 out of 10.

This is a really fun version of the hit show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". The sound effects are not exactly like the shows, but it does use some of them. Meredith is loads of fun to play with on this game. This is definitely the best game that Millionaire has put out for a while. I am a huge fan of the show, and I like to bring it on trips with me to play on my laptop. It says 2-4 players on the box, but you can play it by yourself. It comes with the DVD and game cards. The question pops up on the screen and each player puts down their answer card. Same thing goes for if you want to use a lifeline or walk away. You have to hurry though, because only one person can use a lifeline at a time! Switch the Question lifeline is not included, just the original 50:50, Phone a friend, and Ask the Audience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun game for friends and family, December 30, 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars

Instead of a solo player going for the million, multiple players or teams can go for it. Every question is read on the screen with the four choices. As you advance higher on the ladder, videos of Meredith reading the questions are provided. The process for each question is the same throughout the game: question is given, place your answer card face down on the table, Meredith asks if a player used their lifeline card, got the question wrong, or has walked away.

The show uses real audience footage for "Ask the Audience", and you choose between 3 people planted into the game for "Phone a Friend." The game is fun as you try to beat your opponent(s). Real music from the show is played during questions, and the on screen graphics are very well done. I played the game many times, and no questions have repeated yet. It's a well made trivia game for all those to enjoy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice Idea But Misses The Mark, April 28, 2009

I bought this DVD game thinking it would be more like the show and exciting to play. To a certain extent it is. But we found the game too easy and there are no options to make the questions harder. So when four of us played the first time and nearly every time after at game night, we all became millionaires -- if only it were that easy in life. We also noticed that the game stalled between questions but that might be because we have a DVD player from 2001. We also found that the questions began to repeat as early as the second game. That took away a lot of the excitement too. If kids are playing and the adults dumb down, it is the perfect game. Even then I may be insulting kids. For all adults, not such a good game.

We have greatly enjoyed playing the Millionaire DVD game. It is very easy to begin and to play. The questions are as challenging as on the real TV show. It is great fun to play in small groups.

2.0 out of 5 stars Should have been better.., July 14, 2009
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Who Wants To Be a Millionaire DVD Game (Toy)
The people who made the game should have spent more time making sure the game was good before releasing it. Its too slow, the questions repeat too often, and being asked if i want to walk away at each Question while i have all lifelines gets old. It could have been designed much better and with more questions.

Also the questions dont go in any particular order, one question was asked as the $500,000 then a few games later the same question was asked as a $4000 question. The Million dollar question was easier then some of the thousand dollar questions.

Overall it was enjoyable for $[...], but im disappointed at what could have been offered.

We have played only one game so far, but one major drawback is that only one person can use a lifeline at a time. The game then gives the answer, even though another person would like to use a lifeline too. So that second person gets to go on in the game, even though they did not know the answer.

Questions are too easy, and it is the old edition of Millionaire. I was looking for the new version.
