The Best Yet,

I have seen just about every documentary on the historical Jesus that has been made. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this three-part program on Planet Green during a recent channel surf. After watching it on TV, I quickly ordered the DVD. I think it is the best yet. It features scholars and scientists, employing the best available technology and criticism, to piece together the time, environment, and even look of Jesus of Nazareth. It seems they have come as close as is currently possible. I also love the look of the actor who portrays Jesus in the reenactment scenes. He portrays a real, believable, and passionate human Jesus, not a sentimental, Hollywood-ized one. I can understand why someone would want to listen to this Jesus preach the good news.I highly recommend "Who Was Jesus?" to anyone interested in learning a little more about this remarkable man who changed history.

This is one of the best documentaries I have seen. It really helps you understand exactly what it was like there and how it would be to grow up there.
