This review is from: Who Wrote That Movie?: Screenwriting In Review: 2000?2002 (Paperback)
Somehow found this book and ordered it, it's just published I think. I am a film buff and found the commentary on the development of the screenplays for these movies interesting (though I wanted more from the book). Some wonderful interviews with the screenwriters, especially enjoyed the "Minority Report" script analysis and interviews with the writers, wonderful stuff. If I were a screenwriter I would be interested in the book as Wehner has some insights into what makes movies tick and what makes good screenwriting, which was surprising as I have no idea who he is. (He apparently is a film critic and editor-in-chief of a magazine called "Screenwriter's Monthly" and he has been published before.) The book is not perfect though, found some grammar and spelling mistakes, sometimes his writing is awkward, but overall a nice read, read it two nights.

I loved reading this book about the scripts to the movies that I love. I was fascinated by the in-depth knowledge and background on the development of some of these films. Screenwriting is an art and this book celebrates that. Bravo Mr. Wehner...
