First, I want to say thank you to the author. I received a signed paperback copy from a contest that I won. What a wonderful book! Emily McGinn has grown up in a wonderfully sheltered life with wonderful siblings and two amazing parents. One day she receives a letter about a mysterious inheritance from someone she she does not know. Suddenly, everything she believes has been a lie. Not knowing how to handle her new found knowledge, she researches and uncovers a past that she is not very happy with. How will she learn to live with herself and how will she use her new wealth to benefit for good?

I love the way the author brings the Colorado landscape to life. I have never had the pleasure to travel to beautiful Colorado and the author makes you feel as if you are there with the characters. What lovely and vivid descriptions. It makes me want to take a hike.

I loved this book so much, I purchased the authors other novel, Where Secrets Lie, and I cannot wait to start reading it. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. A quick easy read you can read in a couple of hours. Check it out!

Emily and her brother Eric, take care of the family run nursery while their father is doing chemo treatments. They don't tell him that the business isn't doing that great. However, Emily gets a letter that she has an inheritance which thickens the plot. It turns out, Emily's dad had an affair, Joli got pregnant and then was in a car accident and died. So her dad and her dad's wife (mom) raised her.

So the story goes, everyone finding out and what will Emily do with the inheritance? The storyline is good. Needs a bit of refinement and I really could have taken the gay partnership out. What I really enjoyed is all the very descriptive scenery, as I am from Colorado and loved every minute of the details!

This book was an awesome read and my second book that I have read from this author! Imagine you finding out you were adopted and how it would affect your life! It makes you think too about when parents should tell their kids they were adopted. I can definitely relate to the main character in the book, I was not adopted but I have my biological father that I have never met and have been curious about but don't want to I interfere with his life but it doesn't stop me from wondering about him.

This book went by too quickly! It's awesome if you want a quick read but I liked it so much I wished it was a bigger book!!
