5.0 out of 5 stars Hope and Humor, October 17, 2007
This review is from: I Am Whole Now That I Have Cancer: Reflections on Life and Healing for Cancer Patients and Those Who Love Them (Paperback)
Now That I Have Cancer is a wonderfully warm, funny book, full of hope and courage. It is beautifully written and easy to read in little bits, or like I did--cover to cover without putting it down. John Robert McFarland's gentle wit and hard-earned wisdom make this a must-have book for anyone, not just cancer patients and their families. Get a copy of the audio version, too, and listen with headphones while you're getting your chemo.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Blessing!, September 29, 2011

I can't say enough good things about this book! The insight, humor, and comfort it brings is such a blessing! My husband (lymphoma cancer) and I keep going back to it, it is that rich. So many of its "lessons" are also applicable to other struggles and adversity in life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful Book for Healing, June 21, 2010
This review is from: I Am Whole Now That I Have Cancer: Reflections on Life and Healing for Cancer Patients and Those Who Love Them (Paperback)
This book wasn't around when I was going through cancer treatments in 2002, but man I wish it was! I recently found this book while searching for an inspirational gift for a friend who is currently going through treatments for a blood cancer disorder (which I cannot spell). We are both enjoying it. It really honors the fact that cancer can be a gift if approached from that angle. There is SO much hope here. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would! --- Anne Marie Bennett, Author of Bright Side of the Road: A Spiritual Journey Through Breast Cancer
