I purchased this book as a result of seeing and being completely impressed by Andrea on "Top Chef". I also believe in the healing power of eating whole, unprocessed food, but would like to be less reliant on prepared foods (even if I purchase them from Whole Foods). The first half of the book focuses on describing the importance of eating fresh, unprocessed food and the health benefits of the various food groups. The second part consists of recipes. I have already done a few of them and they have been easy, delicious and made me and my husband feel great! I am actually excited to try the rest of them.
If you aren't convinced of the importance of the food choices you make, Andrea's enthusiasm, knowledge and personal experience will definitely inspire you - and her recipes will make you a believer. Happily, she does all of this with warmth and humour; she is not about preaching.

I purchased this book as a resource to have in my healing library and because I have had the pleasure of knowing Andrea. As a simple yet engaging guide to whole foods eating, her book definitely delivers. I have always been a fan of her dynamic approach which I was happy to see carry over into her writing. This is a must for those who want the basics and some great recipes to support them. It may be a little too basic for those looking for a more in depth exploration.
A great book!
