This review is from: Wholesome Home Book of Recipes & Household Formulas (Hardcover)
I purchased this book because the description said 1995. I thought it would be fairly up-to-date and relevant. Be aware that the copyright date on this book is 1975!
This book seems to have a lot of information but unfortunately was not useful to me. It just wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for what was in the title-wholesome recipes and household formulas. Instead this book goes into raising fish, livestock, wine and beer making, gardening, sausage making, etc. The cleaning recipes call for lye and other hard to find ingredients. The recipes look good but call for a lot of ingredients (not useful for a busy family). All in all, I was disappointed with the book because it just wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
