4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent sugar substitute with a low glycemic index.
I bought this one and the dark variety. They are both very good; kind of a gentle sweetening agent, not in your face sweet like white sugar.
I preferred the dark type as it seemed to have more flavor, but this one's taste is probably better for most baking recipes, as it would impart a less assertive note.
No trouble using agave in all my recipes both sweet...

2.0 out of 5 stars STICKY MESS!
Taste great but the cap on the bottle doesn't seal very well so when it is shipped they leak. You can not take it with you without putting it in another container.

No trouble using agave in all my recipes both sweet and savory, like that little bit of sweeteness one wants in a Thai dish, for example.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product!, January 4, 2007

I've received my second order of this product. This time I ordered the larger size. This is an excellent alternative sweetener. It has no after taste like a lot of the artificial sweeteners. I use it in my drinks, cereals and cooked dishes. I've never tried baking with it. I highly recommend this product - try it, you'll like it!

Delicious. Good for you. Organic. Little goes a long long way. It has replaced honey and organic sugar in my house. What else could you ask for?
GREAT product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Baking, May 10, 2007
This review is from: Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Blue Agave, Light, 11.75-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I used this item for the first time when I adapted a brownie recipe. I used unsweetened Baker's chocolate and approx 1/3 cup of this sweetener. I did adapt the recipe for the loss of the "lift" provided by granulated sugar and the brownies turned out great. Pretty dense, more fudgy than cake-like, but certainly full of rich, dark chocolate flavor. I think next time I would use a bit more of the sweetener, perhaps 1/2 cup...which is not alot since a traditional brownie recipe calls for 2 cups of granulated sugar. Also, as a Hypoglycemic, I did not suffer from the usual afteraffects of eating a traditional brownie. Therefore, I will certainly order more of this sweetener.

4.0 out of 5 stars wonderful product; packaging needs help, October 8, 2008
This review is from: Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Blue Agave, Light, 11.75-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I actually buy this brand of agave nectar at my local food coop, but the price on Amazon was too good! However, when my package arrived, one of the bottles had leaked and I had to wash everything and look for the poorly-sealed bottle. Also, given that these are plastic bottles, some additional padding would have probably helped...

I used this in a recipe for zuchinni bread instead of sugar and you could not tell the difference. I have not tried it in other items yet. 1 bottle is equal to 1 cup of sugar, so this is a really expensive alternative.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for diabetics, August 18, 2008

My husband is diabetic and has been using this product for some time now. It really has made a change in keeping his blood sugar from spiking since this sweetener is low glycemic. We use it to sweeten drinks, on pancakes, on oatmeal, etc.Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Blue Agave, light, 23.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)

This is a great natural sweetner. I got the larger bottles in a previous order, but the smaller bottles like these are easier to use and not messy like the others. Very happy with it.

we've been using this for about a month.
i put it in iced tea almost daily.
we really like it.

i am not positive that it's 1.5 times sweeter than sugar like they say...so i have used more than i thought i would.
