5.0 out of 5 stars What can I say - It is sugar?
I got the package quickly as to be expected. The quality was great. The sugar is sweet. All is good in the universe.

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars ok, larger crystals than "normal"
I use this for tea at the office. I think raw sugar tastes better than bleached and this just ok. It's not neutral tasting. I think sugar in the raw is more neutral and tastes better.
The size of the crystals is bigger than normal though and so a little more stirring may be required.
It turns tea quite a bit darker that other raw sugars.

It's sugar. Tasty. There is also an identical, but organic, variety for the same price that I would have ordered if I had seen it before ordering this one.

I had tried Sugar in the Raw and wanted some individual packets to take to work. I found these and liked the price, so I tried them. The quality was every bit as good as the name brand and I like the fair trade aspect.

1.0 out of 5 stars Packets but no Sugar????, October 27, 2010

I order this sugar on a regular basis. Usually I have no problem however in the box that I just received approximately 50% to 60% of the packets had no sugar in it. There is a serious issue with quality control.

Dr. told me to avoid white sugar due to adult onset diabetes, but brown sugar was acceptable. It would be nice to have been able to buy less than 1,000, but I expect it will keep.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great! If you don't want to know how much sugar you're using., July 25, 2008

I bought these on sale through amazon and was so excited that they were Fair Trade. I thought GREAT! Everyone is being paid fairly for their labors and its not coming out of MY pocket! I felt it was win win for the sugar workers and for me... Until I started feeling like something was weird. Every morning when I would make my coffee, it would never taste the same even though I always put 3 sugar packs in. It slowly dawned on me that every single pack has a totally different amount of sugar in it!!!!!!!! Some packs had about 20 grains (literally!!!) and some were so full, they burst when I tore them open. WHat the (*&@!#(*!&@?!??! Who does this? I started thinking that maybe the people who made the sugar were OVERPAID for their efforts and smoking a little too much hashish. Although the taste of the sugar was great...
