Our baby loves this mobile,
By
This review is from: Whoozit: Musical Mobile (Toy)
Everyone says that the mobile is useless. They were wrong. The contrast of the colors and the variety of the shapes are wonderful. My little one will sit in the crib and stare at the shapes forever. The music is catchy enough for him that he prefers the music on. He is 8 weeks old and he hasn't really smiled at us but go figure he smiles at the mobile. The only down side is that you have to wind it up every two minutes. I wish it had a remote or would stay on for at least ten minutes. My litte one would be occupied for awhile if it would. I am considering buying another one just for a longer play time or with a remote too. The other downside is that the objects move only when wound otherwise they stay still. I wish they would move constantly that also catches our littles ones eyes he follows around the black and white objects.
Update. It broke!!!! The mobile played music but quit turning.. I am so dissapointed. I am gonna miss seeing my now 3 month old smile at it.

Fun, but worth it?,

I love the look of this and so does my newborn daugher. I think that the price is a bit ridiculous because it IS a wind-up that doesn't last very long at all. I would really think it worth the asking price if it took batteries so that it could last longer or had a remote to keep turning it back on. Additionally, we have not used it very frequently (a dozen times or so?) and for some reason it has just stopped rotating. We had previously had the Symphony in Motion by Tiny Love. I think that is a much better mobile.

This mobile looks good but that's about all. The song didn't play for very long and the mobile doesn't turn. It wasn't entertaing for my little one at all!

Entertaining but brief,
This review is from: Whoozit: Musical Mobile (Toy)
My daughter has loved this mobile since about 5 weeks old. Her very first smiles came with this mobile! We have it perched over her changing table, and I'd actually put her down there to take pictures of her because I knew I'd get a nice big smile. The downside is that it only plays for a short period of time and you have to wind it up, but it was well worth it for us. The changing table setting was perfect because it would be winding down at about the same time that we finished up with the diaper change, and she was happy/entertained the whole time.

When this toy arrived, the on/off switch would not stay on. I had to tape it into the "on" position. Also, when I hung the mobile up, it didn't go around. Just the music played. I don't have all the time in the world or money to send it back and try to justify why it should be replaced. But it certainly is worth writing about it's complete lack of durability. Its usefulness educationally or for fun is kind of eclipsed when it's too broken to ever be used! In the same order, I ordered a Fisher Price toy, and it has worked great and lasted fine. I think I'll stick to the names I know in the future.

Well, I just don't understnd the negative reviews of this product. I've had mine for a year, it always plays, always turns, never broke, and still, amazingly, entertains my babe while I struggle to pin those squirmy legs down for a diaper change. She loves those moons and stars and, of course, the featured whoozit in the middle. Loves the twinkle, twinkle tune too. What more can you ask?
