Book Description

May 18, 2004
In the fantasy land of Faylin, Wolfman Jack Horner was on trial for the attempted murder of Grandma Redford. Defended by his former lover, Jill, Jack has to sit through a fiasco courtroom trial, all because dear Grandma wanted a demonstration of his talented tongue. While awaiting sentencing, Jack breaks free from his cell with a little help from the Bacon Brothers and their magic beans. Sure, Jack gets out of prison, but did he really want to get swept away by an out-of-control beanstalk?

From there, Jack meets Peg, the winged horse, mighty King Titus, and the enslaved Sugar Plum Fairy Princess, Shaylee. When the beautiful Shaylee escapes her chains and goes to Jack for help, how can he resist? During their journey, passion takes control and the couple must depend on their growing love to help them through the trials ahead.

Can Jack and Shaylee escape King Titus and his obsession? Will Titus discover that a forced love is not as satisfying as love freely given?

NOTE: The paperback version of Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf? contains a bonus story, The Snowmaiden, another paranormal/fantasy erotica tale by Marianne LaCroix!

5.0 out of 5 stars magnificent, jocular and satirical adult fairy tale, May 30, 2004
This review is from: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (Paperback)
In Faylin, Roberta Redford caught the notorious womanizer Wolfman Jack Horner eating her forty something grandpa. Jack insists he was tonguing her as part of sex between consenting adults, but the embarrassed grandma and her granddaughter claim he tried to kill her. Jack's former lover Jill, who has an ax to grind with him, defends him. The trial goes badly as the females claim there were screams of terror while Jack insists they were screams of passion. Before he can be sentenced, the three piggy Bacon Brothers give Jack magic beans that enable him to break out of jail. Jack climbs the beanstalk through the clouds until he reaches the kingdom of giant King Titus.

Jack meets the shapeshifting Margaret, who loves Titus. However, Titus desires Sugar Plum Fairy, Princess Shaylee, who he holds prisoner. Riding Meg who is in her Pegasus form, Jack meets Titus and falls in love with Shaylee at first sight. He decides to help Peg win her highness so that he can make it with Shaylee. However, love is fickle whether it is on earth, in Fairyland, or in the clouds.

WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF is a magnificent, jocular and satirical adult fairy tale that hooks the audience the moment that Jack ironically finds himself in female trouble until the final confrontation between the four wannabe lovers. The stupendous story line goofs at adult fairy tales, but does so in an affectionate tongue out of cheek manner. A fabulous second shorter tale "The Snowmaiden" is a fine romantic tale starring two lovers plus Father Frost and the Russian tundra. Marianne LaCroix entertains the troops with this one-sitting two-tale book.
