This is an excellent book that expresses the current confusion of public school governance. Each article discusses, from a differentperspective, political and legual issues that have changed the face of public schools in America. Should the federal government be involved in public education? What will be the result of such a change? What has happened to local control? What does the constitution tell us about who should govern schools? How are current curricular and personnel policies impacting the success of students. This book provides insights and answers that are critial for anyone interested in public education to read.
