The date 1453 is used as the starting point as this is when the Age of Firearms began. Some biographical entries are longer than others. Includes 16 color plates, 300 black-and-white illustrations, nine pages of maps, and a glossary of military terms. This book is ideal for students and teachers of both world history and American history.
