I want to review this album fairly while not rebutting the previous customer review.

This album was perfect for my nighttime commute. He touches on a spectrum of topics -- unlike "Seemed Like A Good Idea" which merely broke the ice with ethnic humor and segued into Mars vs. Venus. The subjects of his monologue were both relevant to then (2010 performance) and to today's events. If you can handle the profane language (spoken nicely), and generally offensive humor about TSA, immigration, stereotypes, politicians, gays: there is a track on here for everyone. The main theme of this routine was that we tend to have short attention spans with every new event, outbreak, scare. All it takes is a few weeks or a new distracting event, then we're focusing time and energy on the latest buzz. The news media--to include cyberspace--plays on this human foible.

In summation, I recommend this comedy album. I didn't know who Alonzo Bodden was until I heard him on one of my favorite radio quiz shows a year ago. His act is an idiosyncratic blend of Carlin's philosophy; C. Rock's sociopolitical commentary; and men vs. women rant is comparable to K. Hart. Great buy!

I purchased Alonzo Bodden's "Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time" and enjoyed it immensely, especially his take on relationships between men and women. Imagine my disappointment to find that Mr. Bodden has moved from a moderate political position to a Leftist position in his comedy.

So I subtracted...

...one star for Mr. Bodden's constant excuse-making, justifications of anything Barack Obama.
...one star for encouraging and promoting adultery and same-sex marriage.
...one star for helping to keep racism alive.

i love alonzo bodden. he's witty, has a good eye for bulls*** and calls it when he sees it. he can walk the line between being insightful and intelligent and still make a dick joke now and then. for reference, other comedians i really like: carlin, black, bamford, kirkman, gould, maron, louie ck, mario joyner...to name a few

I recently discovered Alonzo Bodden by accident on Amazon MP3 and I really like his brand of comedy. Hopefully, he'll put out another album soon so I can laugh my head off again at his comedic genius

Loved the snippets of Bodden's Who's Paying Attention so much on Pandoa, I downloaded him to the hard drive. He's timely, and he's funny because everything he goes off on is so true! Funny guy!

It will be obvious, after you listen to Alonzo, why he was the winner of "Last Comic Standing." He is the funniest of the observational comedians working today. Listen. And Pay attention.

Some of the best comedy is tucked away on Netflix and that's where I found Alonzo - a candid, warm and funny surprise.

Remains funny over several hearings. His topical humor is on target, great words to offer on fear as a basis for news
