5.0 out of 5 stars My second child also loves it!, December 1, 1999
By A Customer
I was given this book when my daughter was born. She enjoyed it immensely, from the time she could sit in my lap -- and even sits through it while I read it to her little brother, and now she's almost 3! I'm happy to say her brother, now 1yr old, loves it, too. I've gotten 2 more sliding surprise Reasoner books, but this is still the best in my book for babies/young toddlers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting!, April 21, 2002
Your little ones will ROAR with delight from the unexpected surprise inside. "Who's Peeking" is an enchanting little board book, ingeniously conceived, it teaches children how to recognize animals by the sounds they make. "Who say's RIBBIT?" slide open the page and "Peek-a-boo! I'm a frog," the swampland becomes a green frog. Each page features brightly colored forms that become animals right before your very eyes: frog, pig, owl, gorilla, tiger, and cow. The concept is simple enough for babies to enjoy while offering lessons on color for older children. "Who's Peeking" is my favorite in Reasoner's "Sliding Surprise" series, with "Who's Mommy Is This" coming in 2nd. Buy this book you won't be sorry!

My 5 month old son smiles at the sight of this book! I have actually bought a second copy for safe-keeping in case the first one wears out. He loves looking at the large letters on the pages and when we slide out the animals he grins and laughs with delight. A must-have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for a Baby, November 29, 1999
By
My son has had this book since he was 3 months old, and is now 12 months. After he figured out, about a month ago, that we would read him any book he brought us, he started bringing us this book about 6 to 8 times a day! He simply loves this book and never gets tired of it. I'm thinking our copy is going to wear out soon. The frog page gets a giggle from him every time. A good investment if you have a baby.

My 11-mo-old son loves this book! He brings it over for me to read to him all the time. He giggles at the animals playing "peek-a-boo" with him. Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars My 1 year old loves this book!, May 18, 1998
By A Customer
My 1 year old son loves this book! He will rarely sit for any other book. We have yet to read the actual text, but he loves to play peek-a-boo with the animals. He stops fussing in his carseat when I hand him this book to look at. He can manage the sliding pages by himself. What a fun book. The illustrations are bright and alluring. Our favorite page is the gorilla. I plan on ordering more sliding surprise books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stands the Test of Time, September 26, 2006

This review is from: Who's Peeking? : A Sliding Surprise Book (Board book)
I bought this book for my first son when he was a toddler, and now he is 12! Yes...12-YEARS-old, which means I have had this book for at least a decade. It has stood the test of time. I had another baby who just turned a year, and I was so happy that I found this book in some boxes in the garage. My newest baby has loved this book from the first time I ever read it. He always smiles when I put on my animated "peek-a-boo" voice and try to surprise him by pulling the page out really fast. I agree the slider is a bit hard to pull out, but it kind of wore itself in over all these years with so many reads. The trick is to slide it straight out to the side. If you pull even slightly up or down at angle, it does get a bit stuck. I would recommend this book, and I am going to check out this author's other slide books. Enjoy!

Very cute book, but one of the pages fell apart and now it doesn't work properly. But overall a fun book that will entertain your child.
