Editorial Reviews

Review

'As entertaining as it is informative. It sets a standard in gay dictionaries and encyclopedias that others should note and follow. Highly recommended.' - Gay Times

'A good job of an impossible task, looking beyond the borders of North America, Australia and northern Europe to include people who have made important contributions from outside the gay and lesbian mainstream.' - Diva

3.0 out of 5 stars So where are the people I know?, March 28, 2009
This review is from: Who's Who in Contemporary Gay and Lesbian History: From World War II to the Present Day (Paperback)
A lot of literary figures in this book, but none of the gay (erotic) artists who really 'do something', or did, for many of us. Oh, yes, Tom of Finland (of course), but no Bastille, Tagame, Quaintance, Etienne - and that list could go on. Were they not considered fit for inclusion?
