Why Did Poussaint Allow this to go to print?,

This review is from: Why Blacks kill Blacks (Hardcover)
This thin volume, no larger than a pamphlet, written early in his career, I am sure is one that Dr. Poussaint wishes he could "recall." It is not a very good book at all. It sheds no light on the topic and is mostly petty autobiographical complaining about how the white girls of the Civil Rights movement seduced the more hip black boys. Poussaint, apparently not being considered among the latter, used this book as a platform to pout.
For a better volume on the intended topic, and written during the same era, I recommend Grier and Cobbs' The Jesus Bag. Two stars. |
