Why~ DJ Sammy is a great trance cover of Annie Lennox smash hit of the early 90's. The lyrics are amazing, and the chick that covers the track is just as good a singer as Annie Lennox. I love this up tempo version of this modern classic and this should be obligatory for private parties and discos.

The best thing about this remix is that the vocalist sounds like Annie Lennox, but to say this is better than the original is just idiotic. Annie Lennox is one of the most amazing singer/songwriters of our time. If DJ Sammy wanted to truly do something amazing, he'd actually remix the original or convince the original artist to re-record the vocal. Most of the female vocalists on his songs sound very generic. As if they sing in perfect rythm, as opposed to actually putting some feeling into the words. Dance music doesn't have to be cold an unfeeling. Don't get me wrong, I do like this remix, I just don't think it's extraordinary. I DJ in a high end Gay/Straight Dance Club. This will go over well, but I just wish there were more original dance songs instead of so many generic remakes.

Dj Sammy is back with "Why", a remake of the original sung by Annie Lennox. It is better than the original and the female vocals are really strong and cute. He has included in the single the "Candle light mix", the slow version of the song. This is the first single from the forthcoming album "The Rise", which is full of hits, like the song "Rise Again".
This remake has been top 10 in the UK and also number 1 in the spanish radios so go for it!!!.
