Change, not selling out,

Reel Big FIsh was my first SKa band that I was obsessed with and THis CD lives up to my expectations. Their sound is changed so much it's hard to compare to their last CD but the guitar is great and the singing is even better. A ska must for any real ska fans and ska newcomers as well. By the way, they didn't sell out, their music matured and got better.

this is one of the best cds i've bought in a long time. i have been a fan of RBF for a while now and i feel this could be thier best album to date. they are headed in a new direction but thats awsome. alot of people are knocking them for that but if they put out 12 more albums that sounded like "Turn The Radio Off" they'd be criticizing them too. well needless to say its a great cd, the songs are catchy and the lyrics are funny in that RBF sort of way. this cd answers the question... "Why Do They Rock so Hard?"

This is a must have for any ska fan. It was my first Reel Big Fish cd and also my first ska cd and as soon as I heard it I was hooked on it. I became obsessed with RBF. It has great guitars and horns and it's a really fast and upbeat kinda ska cd. After hearing this I had to get their previous cd, Turn the Radio Off, and I have to say they have definitely changed their sound, but for the better. Turn the Radio Off is more ska, while Why Do They Rock So Hard lives up to its name, it rocks harder, but still it's horn section is so great. Just get it, you won't be disappointed.

This cd is a must have for any ska fan, and anyone who truly appreciates good music. This was my first RBF cd, and it's what got me into ska music. I LOVE THIS CD!!!!! A couple listens to it and I was hooked! It was the first time I heard Reel Big Fish, and right away they became one of my favorite bands. 2nd favorite, to be exact (Offspring, of course, would be my number 1). I would recommend this cdto anyone and everyone. I saw Reel Big Fish live today and they were awesome! Although their set was way too short...it only lasted about 40 minutes. They were opening for Blondie, who I think SUCK (just my opinion). I don't see how Blondie can headline over Reel Big Fish. It just doesn't make sense. Anyway.....back to my review. If youdon't have this cd, go out and buy it right now! RBF's music puts you in a great mood, and the high energyit has really pumps you up to go outand do anything! Bottom line: great, great, great cd, very much worth theinvestment. Now what are you waitingfor? Go out and buy it!

This is a CD where you have to listen a lot to like it (if you're not a huge ska fan), otherwise you'll make the same mistake I did. I sold this CD soon after I got it, only to find that my friend loved it. Months later another friend purchased this, and let me borrow it. I loved it, every song. It now seems like a waste to buy it again, but I'm still not sure if I want to use my hard earned 16.97 on this CD. This'll be the second time I've bought it! My favorites are She's Famous Now, The Set Up (You Need This), Somebody Hates Me, and Brand New Song. One of my favorite ska CDs. Buy and keep!

More awesome stuff from RBF...,

Why Do They Rock So Hard? is nothing like Turn the Radio Off, but it's definately a CD you don't won't to miss. RBF still have a hint of their old ska foundation, however, on this CD they seem more like a hard rock band from the seventies than a ska band. Even though the ska/punk sound isn't so distinctive on Why do the rock... you stll know that it's a RBF album because their usual humore is still there and there a plenty of great songs like, "Somebody Hates Me" and "The Set Up". Buy this CD NOW!

AMAZING!, that's all there is to say. This is one of the best albums I have ever heard. The best song has got to be a tie between "Brand New Song", "The set up(you need this)" and "Down in Flames" I just can't decide, can you?

This is a great CD. It is probley my most favoraite CD. I play it all the time. My dad also really likes it and he is quite a bit older than me. If you like Mighty Mighty Bosstones you will probley like these guys. They have a full band with trumpets and trombones, which makes them sound really good. So if you are looking to buy this CD I would definatly buy it,its a great CD.

Why Do They Rock So Hard? because they're Reel Big Fish,

This album rocks!!! On October 20th I ran to my local record store to pick up the new album and it hasn't left my cd player. Even though I think that Thank You From Not Moshing aka In The Pit sound better on TEEN BEEF it still deserves a listen. My fav songs on the album are The Kids Don't Like It and The Set Up (You Need This)because they are upbeat and great to dance to. If you want to hear more RBF pick up Turn the Radio Off, Keep your Receipt,Misfits of Ska,Take Warning The Songs of Operation Ivy,The Ska Parade:Runnin' Naked Thru the Cornfield, The Duran Duran Tribute Album and the two 7" Teen Beef w/ Goldfinger and Vactioning in Palm Springs w/ Cherry Poppin' Daddies!!! I hope you buy this cd and support my favorite band REEL BIG FISH!!!! And don't forget to catch them on tour!!!!
