Biography

On the day Garbage gathered in Wisconsin to start work on their fourth record, they came up with the glittering and steely "Right Between the Eyes" in all of 30 minutes. Things would not go quite so well with BLEED LIKE ME again.

The band battled illness, surgery, creative disagreements, major life changes and-depending who you ask-either a break-up or a much-needed sabbatical. But nothing good… Read more in Amazon's Garbage Store

Editorial Reviews

The first single to be released from the forthcoming Garbage album is the explosive 'Why Do You Love Me'. Buzzsaw guitars give it an overtone that's sinister as much as pleading, with a Spector-esque melody. This Australian exclusive format features three non-album tracks, a cover of The Ramones classic 'I Just Wanna Have Something To Do', 'Nobody Can Win' and 'Space Can Come Through Anyone' along with the enhanced video for 'Why Do You Love Me'. Festival. 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars COMEBACK!!!, March 30, 2005

Garbage finally came back with a new sound and an awesome song. "Why Do You Love Me" is by far one of Garbage's best works. The long and highly anticipated album (Bleed Like Me: April 12, 2005) is sure to be one of the best albums of the year. The tracks, "Space Can Come Through Anyone", "Nobody Can Win", and "I Just Wanna Have Something To Do" are excellent tracks and can only be found on the "Why Do You Love Me" single. Don't miss your chance. BUY IT; YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome single, April 6, 2005
This review is from: Why Do You Love Me (Audio CD)
Despite what others think of the new single, I still say the pounding guitars and the live sound is just awesome. Some Garbage fans seek to have singles to be a carbon copy of Version 2.0, but this really was a good investment in my opinion. The B-sides are like the icing to the cake, 2 awesome b-sides that could of very well been on the album, and a awesome rendition of the Ramones song "I Just Wanna Have Something To Do". Definetly worth the money and more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Comeback Single of the Year, March 29, 2005

After surprising and in many cases, disappointing fans with the pop-lite beautifulgarbage, Garbage return with a vengeance with the blistering top 10 hit "Why Do You Love Me". This song features a pounding, instantly memorable guitar riff and a Blondie meets Killers type chorus. As the first single off of the long-anticipated Bleed Like Me (April 12), Garbage seems set to make a Green Day-like comeback in 2005.

Included are the fantastic b-sides "Space Can Come Through Anyone" and "Nobody Can Win", the exciting Ramones cover "I Just Wanna Have Something To Do", and the brilliant video for "Why Do You Love Me".

DO NOT pass this gem up.
