About the Author
Yvonne Vera was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She is the author of Why Don’t You Carve Other Animals, a collection of short stories, and Nehanda, a novel. Both books were short-litesd for the Commonwealth Writers Award Africa Region in 1993 and 1994, respectively.
