Book Description

Why We Fall Out of Love is organized into eight brief chapters, each of which covers one of the main reasons people find their relationships faltering. Rich with input from psychologists, relationship experts, doctors and regular people, this short and snappy book--based on a wildly popular magazine article published for Match.com--is the perfect jumping off point for individuals and couples who want to deepen their relationships and avoid some of the most common issues that well-intentioned lovers face.

Among the topics discussed are shaky foundations, relationship expectations, the decision to love, and talking about problems. The book concludes with expert advice for staying in love. Whether you're reading for entertainment or enlightenment, Why We Fall Out of Love will really make you think.

This is a short work of 35 pages, perfect for reading on your lunch hour.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read August 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
It is a quick read. However, it is a thoughtful book. The beginning felt a bit stilted but as I moved through the book, the writing became more personal and emotional. The book is thoroughly researched and the sources are shown. I will plan to read some of these books for more information.

I have to admit that I had not thought about some of the topics in relationships like managing my own expectations. This section was particularly of interest to me.

I have highlighted more than a few quotes to remember as I move through my marriage. I will more than likely re-read this book again.

I would recommend this book to anyone just starting into a relationship or to anyone who feels like they are in a difficult spot of their relationship. To a long time married person, there are things to remember about the beginning of your relationship. To the person in a new relationship, there are things to remember as you start fresh. Either way, there are good life lessons in this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well-researched, well-written August 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I was a little hesitant to pick up this title, because it only had one 5-star review. But the rest of them had good things to say about it, so I went ahead and got it. Just a few pages into it, I realized that this e-book is in a much higher class than a lot of the tripe in the relationships niche. I'm doing a much more detailed review for my GuestRelationshipsBlog.com site, which I plan to post this weekend (August 24 or 25).

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read. August 17, 2012

Why We Fall Out of Love: Experts and Real People Talk about the Reasons Relationships FailTook me a little time to get into this book but the facts were all there.
Some real interesting thoughts portrayed by both author and professionals.
The phrase "The final Love Killer is life itself" is so true and so thought provoking.
For me personally there were some "tongue in cheek" moments but no matter, this book would appeal to young and old alike.
A good and interesting read....and well written.
