Dem genre,

This is a perfect bedtable book. You can read a few sections and then put it down. The book is an anthology and offers different sections about why the author (regular people) is a Democrat. Sure, there is the occasional famous person or illustrator, but overall it's a representative book.
What I liked most is that the entries were succinct. And, there were different themes to the sections. Overall, a common theme is the idea that Democrats care more for people and believe in equity. The book did have some funny sections, but others that should make the reader think....Why is it acceptable that the Democrats are the best that we can do?! There are other questions that a reader might come up with. Overall, I would suggest this book to others. I just stumbled on the book on Amazon and was glad that I did. I'm going to buy more copies and give them as gifts. Too bad this was published prior to Obama. I'd like to see a post-2008 edition.

Picked this book up in the airport and had a hard time putting it down. A mix of famous and not famous essays that really says it all!!! Makes you think about what is important to you-------------

I really enjoyed the essays in this book -- some are very funny, others serious, most made me think. A really great mix of contributors too!
