About the Author
Roz Grace is a product of Detroit, Michigan, and Cleveland, Ohio, public schools. Her love of books was fostered in first grade by her school librarian, Ms. Reddy. She credits demanding and nurturing high school teachers with intensifying her love of books and desire to learn. Ms. Grace earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Wilberforce, University in Ohio. After teaching first and second grade for several years in the Cleveland, Ohio Municipal School District, she returned to school to earn an M.A. in Education/Reading from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation from Clark Atlanta, she returned to Cleveland’s Municipal School District as a Reading Specialist. After many years of living in Los Angeles, California, Ms. Grace now lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she works as a writer, publisher, and human resources manager.
Roz Grace’s first three children’s picture books, Why is John Special?, Trina’s Family Reunion, and Anthony’s Surprise, were published by BMF Press

Great Book for Families to read together!,

After I had read this book to both of my kids, they both ran around "adopting" close personal friends who are not family members. This book gave my kids the insight to the vast unviverse of finding and connecting with the people in their neighborhood and family of friends. It is written in a fashion that is easily understood by children and great to share with your kids!
