I have the world's best husband. But, sometimes you get so busy with life that you take the important people in your lives for granted. That was the case with me and my husband. His needs always came last. After reading "Why Love Heals" I realized what I had been doing and how destructive it was. Now I make time for my husband -- and the best part is -- now he makes more time for me! Thanks to Dean's book, I now know why caring for others makes you feel better AND helps you to be physically healthier too! Thanks Dr. Shrock for such a wonderfully healing book!

My life changed after reading Dean's book, Why Love Heals. It answers all my questions about God and spirituality and love from both sides of the veil. This is a must read for anyone striving for scientific proof of what we really already know. Thank you, Dean, for an everlasting experience.

Although it's likely that most people have at least heard the refrain that "love heals," it's my guess very few would be able to actually explain why this happens to be true. I know for certain that prior to reading this book I surely couldn't have. What Dean Shrock has compiled in this ground-breaking book is solid scientific evidence to support this age-old belief about the power of love.

"Why Love Heals" is literally chock-full of thought-provoking excerpts from the works of numerous experts in the field of mind-body medicine, quantum physics, psycho-spiritual care, and more. What adds further to the credibility of the work as a whole is Dean's own experience as a medical doctor. When he writes about this subject he's coming from the perspective of someone who has actually "been there," - an individual who has a hands-on understanding of the disease process, including how critical it is for doctors to treat the entire person (i.e., body, mind, spirit).

This book is a must read for any person interested in improving their health. Moreover, it should be required reading for anyone attending medical school today, because the fact is the traditional approach to "healing" clearly needs to change based on the overall ineffectiveness of the health care system in the U.S. It's time for both doctors and patients to start thinking "outside the box," and Dean Shrock's book would be a great place for them to start broadening their perspectives.

Dean Schrok definitely blew me away with his "Why Love Heals" book. It is very well researched and filled with wonderful insight such as biology embracing the quantum theory. Now I know where I am lacking, and what to put first in my "To do" lists from now on.
This is one of those books to keep in your library and re-read whenever you feel there is something very important that you forgot to do...

Most of us want to lead healthy happy lives and when we get sick we usually go to a doctor who gives us some medicine, performs a procedure, does surgery. What we really want is not treatment but healing. While we want healing the word "healing" conjures up strange and interesting thoughts that we don't want to pursue.

Healing is a concept of now. It is as relative today as it ever has been - perhaps more so.

Dean Shrock addresses the issue of healing head on in his book, Why Love Heals: Mind-Body-Spirit Medicine. This is not a just-published book but its relevance continues. It is a book that should be read by everyone in the medical profession and para-professions as well as by those who are experiencing illness or want to prevent illness.

Science has clearly demonstrated that love has a profound and positive effect at a cellular level and brings about positive change in the body. Shrock, who had seen remarkable results in his work with cancer patients using guided imagery, drew heavily from science, quantum physics, energy medicine and spirituality to make his compelling case that it is love that heals.

I encourage you to get this book and read it carefully and reflectively, with an open mind and spirit. It will change your perspective on disease, health and healing and could, quite literally, save your life or the life of someone you love.

The most important book you will read this year has been written by Dean Shrock . Why Love Heals explains Mind-Body-Spirit medicine in a way that brings all the heavy hitters on the subject of quantum theory together in readable and memorable segments. It is hard to decide what to emphasize in a short review but when Shrock writes "Find your joy and you have found the secret" that just about sums it up. He explains why our Universe is a "participatory" one. "Our thoughts create." He explains that "Matter only becomes a physical reality through the focus of our attention." I urge you to read this book, study it, live it. It has changed my life and I bet it will change yours for the better.

I'm 57 and have read a LOT of books in my time. I will let others speak about the contents of this book. I just want to say that this is in my top 5 books that I have ever read. I wish that everyone in the world could read this book!

This book was wonderfully written by the way the author brought science, his personal experience, and quantum physics together to understand what love really is and how love is healing. I also, loved Dr. Shrock first book "Doctor's Orders: Go Fishing.

This is by far one of the most important books on healing and wholeness on the market today. It is a must read for the healer in all of us.Why Love Heals I bought 5 copies to share.
